Brands, parent company, is hit with a ransomware attack and includes Charter Foods<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">April 7, 2023: Charter Foods files notice of breach with the Maine OAG and begins employee notification<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">April 17, 2023: Charter Foods is sued in federal court in Tennessee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What occurred?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charter Foods, a Yum! Brands franchisee, was affected by a <a href=\"https:\/\/kentprotect.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/12\/breach-report-yum-brands-kfc-taco-bell-pizza-hut-ransomware-attack-shuts-down-almost-300-locations-affects-unknown-total\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">January 2023 ransomware attack on Yum!
